The Lord once asked what many believe to be a rhetorical question. He asked if He would find faith on the EARTH when He returns. (Luke 18:8)  Now, before you just glaze over this while thinking,  “yeah… I know that verse” - actually let His words sink in.  Why would Jesus ask if He would find faith on the PLANET? 

As we look around at the millions upon millions who are involved in religious activity, (called by the name “Christianity”), how often do we see exhibited, the kind of faith that Jesus called faith in the Bible? It is, indeed, exceedingly rare.  What we see are millions upon millions who are so preoccupied building their own kingdom and seeking after their own blessings that they have no time for God’s Kingdom and other people’s blessings.  This is not what Jesus called faith… this is a blatant perversion of the Word of God.

Over the centuries the truth of what God wants from His people has been largely lost. We have substituted the kind of faith written about in scripture for the kind of faith talked about by blind guides calling themselves leaders of God’s church.  It is rare to see people focused on loving their Lord, and THEREFORE their fellow man, to such a degree that it drives them to discipline themselves so that they may be a blessing to the people of the world who are in need of Jesus’ love. Whether it is by manifesting His power for someone in need of His love or by giving a cup of cold water in His name, it is a rarity to see people, (who claim to love God), actually give an outward manifestation showing that they really do.

The Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is very clear that to follow God…. It will cost you dearly.  Hebrews chapter 11 is full of examples of what real godly faith looks like.  It always involves the heart AND corresponding action. In the New Covenant, Jesus mapped out for us what He wants His people to be doing while He is away. Are you doing it? If not then according to such verses as John 14:21 and Matthew 7:21-23, there is no proof you even really know Him. Do you even know what He wants you to be doing while He is away?

Listen Christians… the Word of God says that for many, His coming will be like a thief in the night. Can you imagine what it would be like to have the God of the Universe, who charged you with a sacred job, to show up and catch you being lazy, complacent, and indifferent?!  PLEASE… let that thought stay with you permanently.  Read Luke 12:35-48.

The Body of Christ must wake up, and wise up, and get busy. The days in which we are entering are growing dark at an unprecedented rate. All it takes for evil to triumph is for the people of heaven to stand by and do nothing (a.k.a. not live out Biblical faith). Evangelists… GO… bring them into the Kingdom.  Pastor-Teachers… get busy… train and equip the holy people of God.  Prophets… WAKE UP…. Exhort, en-COURAGE, and edify the Body of God on earth to do what is expected of them.  Apostles… stop playing games… the “prosperity Gospel” is no Gospel at all – start building the Kingdom of God in purity, consecrated-ness, love, and pure fire of God. And, Christians… LISTEN ONLY to the Word of God before you start worrying yourself with ANYTHING that is not explicitly written in the Holy Word of God! It’s not too late brothers and sisters - we can still ignite the people of this nation and of the world, ablaze with the reality of the Most High God.

HEAVEN COMING TO EARTH…. That's why the Church is here and that’s what you and I were commanded to be busy endeavoring over and it only happens by consistently exhibiting Biblical faith. Anything else that hinders or slows us down in this endeavor is to be cast off like a leprous garment!  The world needs us… and we OWE it to the One who bought us with His own blood! Amen.
